Queen Alia International Airport
It is the main airport of Amman, Jordan. Amman is the capital city of Jordan. It is the commercial, administrative and industrial center of Jordan. Amman is located in a hilly area of north western Jordan. The city was originally built on seven hills, but it now span on an area of nineteen hills. The city is served by Amman Airport.

This airport is a two terminal Airport situated in Zizya area,20 miles south of Amman. It is the main hub of Royal Jordanians Airlines, the national flag carrier. This airport was built in 1983. The Airport is named after Queen Alia, the third wife of King Hussein of Jordan. This airport replaced the Amman-Marka International Airport on 25 May 1983. Jordan's new aerial gateway at QAIA provides the air transport capacity that the country needs for its continued growth and development. Careful planning is almost a tradition at QAIA. Almost 700 people work at QAIA, which is operational 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The two runways can accommodate a total of 50-60 aircraft movements per hour. Two 31,000sq meter, three-storey terminals are connected by a second-level retail concourse. Each terminal is self sufficient, mirroring the other and offering a full range of services, including immigration, catering and a growing number of privately-run concessions.
