Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) is a stock exchange private institution in Jordan. Amman Stock Exchange was established in March 1999 as a non-profit, private institution with administrative and financial autonomy. It is authrised to fumction as an exchange for the trading of securities. The exchange governed by a seven members board of directors. Amman Stock Exchange operates a bond market and an equities market.
To comply with international standards and best practices, the Amman Stock Exchange (ASE )works closely with the Jordan Securities Commission JSE on surveillance matters and mintains strong relationships with other exchanges, associations, and International organisations. The exchange is an active member in the union of Arab Stock Exchanges, Federation of Euro-Asian Stock Exchanges (FEAS), an affiliate member in the World Federation of Exchanges (WFE), and an affiliate member in the International Organization for Securities Commissions (IOSCO).
