Armenia is a landlocked mountainous country in Eurasia between the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea, located in the Southern Caucasus. The modern Republic of Armenia is constitutionally a secular state, although the Christian faith plays a major role in the history and identification of the Armenian people.

Armenia is officially called as the Republic of Armenia; it is a landlocked country that is surrounded by the mountains. It is situated in the South Caucasus between the Caspian Sea and Black Sea. It is a connecting link between Eastern Europe and Western Asia. In its west border it meets Turkey and north border meets Georgia while Azerbaijan meets at the east border and Iran and Azerbaijan's Nakhchivan exclave in the south. Armenia is democratic state that was the part of Soviet Union. President is declared as the head of the state according the Armenia constitution. Armenian army has a strong military in the world, it is divided into Armenian army, air force, air defence and border guard. President of America is the commander in chief of Armenian army. There are ten administrative divisions of Armenia. The capital city is Yerevan has its own administrative status. Governor rule is customized in all these provinces. Armenian climate is continental. Summer season is dry and sunny while it lasts from June to mid of September. Spring season is very short but fall or autumn is very long season in Armenia. Winter season is very cold with heavy snowfall and temperature falls below the freezing point. Population of Armenia is approximately 3,215,800. Christianity is the state religion of Armenia. Official language of Armenia is Armenian that was created by Saint Mesrob Mashtots. Russian language is also well spoken and understood while during the recent years English language is getting popularity in Armenia. Armenian people actively participated in sports such as Olympic, football, Ice Hockey.
