About Azerbaijan
Azerbaijan is a secular state. Climate of Azerbaijan is greatly influenced by the Scandinavian anticyclone, Siberian anticyclone and Central Asian anticyclone. Azerbaijan has a great diversity in its climate as among all the 12 climatic zones nine are present in Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan has 59 divisions that are called rayons while 11 city districts are there and an autonomous republic is present that is the part of Azerbaijan. There are three power holding branches of government of Azerbaijan that are legislative, executive and judicial.
Army
The army of Azerbaijan consists of Land forces, Air forces, Air defence force and Navy. Peacekeeping forces are also the part of Azerbaijan army.
Religion
Azerbaijan is a secular state where freedom of adopting any religion exists. Islam is the major religion that consists of two major sects are present, Shia is in majority while Sunni are on second number. Other religions are Christians (Orthodox and Catholic).
The Azerbaijan's economy's most prominent products are oil, cotton and gas. Production from the Caspian oil and gas field has been in decline for several years.
