BEIRUT INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
Beirut is the capital city of Lebanon; it has an international airport that is named as Beirut Raic Hariri International Airport. It lies approximately 9 km away from the center of the Beirut city. It was formerly known as the Beirut International Airport. It is the operational hub for the Middle East Airlines that is national flag carrier airline of Lebanon. It is the main entrance in the Lebanon. It was ranked as the second best airport in the Middle East and this ranking was granted by the Skytrax Magazine. This airport is controlled and operated by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation that is a subsidiary of Ministry of Public Works and Transport.
Brief History
Beirut International Airport was founded in the year 1954. Later on in the year 2005, its name was changed to Beirut Rafik Hariri International Airport.
