Bulgaria
Bulgaria is officially called as the Republic of Bulgaria; it is a country that is situated in the South Eastern Europe. Its borders meets five countries that is Romania is located in its north border while Serbia and Republic of Macedonia are at the west border, Greece and Turkey are at the south border. Parliamentary governmental system is customized in Bulgaria currently as it is a democratic state. It is the member of European Union since the year 2007 while it is a member of NATO since 2004. The total population of Bulgaria is 7.6 million. There is a great diversity in the climate of Bulgaria; it has landscape that ranges from Alpines snow-covered peaks in the Rila, Pirin and the Balkan Mountains to the sunny and mild black sea coasts. It has the continental Danube Plain and on the other hand it is greatly influenced by the Mediterranean climate. Bulgaria contains temperate climate that becomes quite cold during winter season while summers are hot. Due to the presence of Black sea this area experiences milder climate as compared to other parts of the country, heavy wind blows here and local storms occur specially during winter season.
Bulgaria has a strong defense system that is divided into three main sub types active military, these are:
- Bulgarian land force
- Bulgarian Navy
- Bulgarian Air Force
Army day is celebrated every year on May 6. Bulgarian armed force actively participated in almost all major European wars. Bulgarian army took part in several international military missions.
