Bulgarian Climate

  

The climate of Bulgaria is exceptionally favorable for growing vines, fruits and vegetables, and oil yielding rose for which Bulgaria has been renowned in Europe for centuries. The climate in northern Bulgaria is moderate continental, while the climate in southern Bulgaria is intermediate continental tending to Mediteranean.

 

Bulgarian Climate

 

Bulgaria contains temperate climatic conditions, where winters are really cold with considerable snowfall and summers are really warm and hot with rainy first half and dry second half. Black sea coastal area contains milder climatic condition unlike rest of the country. Balkan Mountains are also has a mild influence on the climatic conditions of Bulgaria.

 

Winter Season

Winter season in the black seas coastal area brings storms and strong wind. Due to the presence of Balkan Mountains northern area of the country are colder than the southern part while it receives rain mote than southern part.

 

Summer Season


During summer season rainfall occurs and temperature reaches up to 40 degree Celsius while the coastal regions remain much cooler than the south-east region f Bulgaria.

 

Alpine Climate


Alpine climatic conditions are present in the Highest Mountains of Bulgaria.

 

Subtropical Climate


The lower regions and areas contain the subtropical climatic conditions. 



Bulgarian Climate and Geography





Typical continental and changeable is the climate in spring. It is exceptionally favourable for the growth of fruit-bearing trees, for whose fruit Bulgaria.
