It is officially called as the Republic of Chile. It is located in South America. It shares border with Peru, Bolivia, Argentina and Drake Passage. It is one of the two countries in South America that do not share border with Brazil. Santiago is the capital city of Chile and the major language is Spanish.

Chile is considered as one of the most stabilized nations in South America. It has a strong economy in Latin America. International trade, tourism and foreign exchange are the main contributors to the economy of Chile.

Majority of population is Roman Catholic, while other religions include protestants, mormon and Jehvah's Witnesses.
