Introduction Dreamweaver 8
Dreamweaver 8 is a web designing application. It allows you to design a professional web page with or without working on HTML or other programming languages. With Dreamweaver 8 you can perform a number of works such as, you can add tables, edit frames, and insert JavaScript patterns, work with layers and others. All these things can be done by using only simple and easy steps.

Moreover, Dreamweaver 8 includes complete FTP client software, which allows you to work with visual maps of the web page and update it with the same server without moving out from the program.
Difference between FrontPage and Dreamweaver
Dreamweaver 8 and Frontpage, have many dissimilarities and after a critical comparison of both softwares, we come to the conclusion that Dreamweaver 8 is far better than Frontpage.
Let's have a look on certain features of these programs at a glance:

Dreamweaver
  • Produces valid HTML codes
  • It is helpful in checking javascript syntax.
  • It is a helpful web page validator.
  • It contains a template system by which you can easily change the look of your website
  • You can also change the layout of your website easily without changing every page

Frontpage
It is a proprietary program, which adds a bunch of non-valid and unnecessary codes.
 
Opening & saving documents
To open/access a document, use any of the options given below:
Click on the "Open" tab from the standard toolbar option. Press the keys CTRL+O. Click on the "File" and select the "Open" option. Or simply double click on from the Files Panel. To open "a new document", use any of the following options: Click on the "new" tab from the standard toolbar. Press the keys in combination CTRL+N. Click on the File menu and then select "New". Saving a document is also very easy. Use any of the options given below to save the document. Click on the "save tab" from the standard toolbar. Press keys in combination CTRL+S. Click on the "File" menu tab and select the "save" option. In order to save a number of documents, use any of the following options. Click on the "save all" tab from the standard toolbar. Click on the "File" menu and select "save all" option.
