The Repuclic of Ghana is a country in West Africa. The word "Ghana" means "Warrior King". It is located on the Gulf of Guinea, only a few degrees north of the equator. Ghana is geographically closer to the centre of the world than any other country.
   The climate is tropical. The eastern coastal belt is warm and comparatively dry. The world's largest artificial lake "Lake Volta", extends through large portions of eastern Ghana.
   More than hundred languages and dialects are spoken in Ghana. English is the country's official language and predominates governmnet and business affairs.
   Most Ghanians have relatively easy access to primary and secondary education. All teaching is done in English. 
   Accra is the largest city of Ghana, on the gulf of Guinea. It is Ghana's largest city and its administrative, communications, and economic center. The primary economic activities are financial and government services, communications, construction, transportation and agriculture (particularly fishing). Over 70% of Ghana's manufacturing capacity is located within the capital area.
   Economically, Ghana is one of the most successful countries in West-Africa. It also has a lot to offer to visitors.
