Starting & Closing Dreamweaver 8
Dreamweaver 8 can be started by two ways, let's have a look on them.
1: By "Start" tab This button is usually located at the corner of the left side of the desktop screen. Just move your cursor on start button and scroll to "All Programs" from the start menu option, you will find an option "Macromedia Dreamweaver 8" (if you have Macromedia installed in your computer). Click that option to open the Dreamweaver 8.
2: By Dreamweaver 8 shortcut You can start this program simply by clicking the "Desktop shortcut icon of Dreamweaver 8". After starting this program and perform functions which you want to do.
Closing Deamweaver 8
In order to close the Dreamweaver 8, a variety of options can be chosen, these are: Click on the "close tab". Press the keys ALT+F4. Go to File menu and then select the "Exit" from options.
Document views
In order to view a document you can use the document toolbar. A variety of viewing options can be used, these are:
The Design View
You can work with visual editor. It is also the default view of the Dreamweaver.
The Code View
If you want to work in code programming then use this option.
The Split View
This option let you view the document in two window zones. The upper area displays the code, and the tab, the visual editor. If a change is made in one zone, then it would apply in all other zones automatically.
Toolbars
A number of toolbars are as follows:
Title Bar
It contains the program name (Macromedia Dreamweaver 8) along with the name of document you are working with. You can view the name of file format in which it is codified between parentheses.
Menu bar
It contains various Dreamweaver operations, which is grouped in drop down menu list.
The Standard Toolbar
It contains execution icons of the most widely used operations such as "open" "save" etc.
The Document Toolbar
It contains a number of icons to execute programs which are not present in standard toolbar.
