Iran

Iran is officially called as the Islamic Republic of Iran while previously it was called as the Persia. It is located in the Central Eurasia in the north eastern side of the Persian Gulf while Southern shore of the Caspian Sea.

Bordering Countries
North: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Russia, Kazakhstan.
East: Afghanistan, Pakistan.
West: Turkey, Iraq.
Gulf and Dessert:
South: Persian Gulf, Gulf of Oman

About Iran
Iran is officially called as the Islamic Republic of Iran, its largest city and capital city is Tehran. Tehran is the center of all political, cultural, economical, educational and commercial activities. Iran contains large petroleum and natural reserves in the world. Iran has subtropical to semi arid and arid climatic condition. Iran has thirty administrative divisions that are called as provinces these provinces are further divided into counties and these counties are further subdivided into districts, while these districts contains sub-districts.

Government of Iran
The Supreme Leader of Iran holds all the supreme powers, he looks after, manipulate, formulate and supervises all the general policies of Iran. He is also the Commander in Chief of the military of Iran. He is the alone authority to take decisions and controls all the military actions in Iran. The Supreme Leader has the authority to appoint the six out of twelve members of the Guardian Council of Iran. The Supreme Leader is appointed by the Assembly of Experts and he is supervised and checked by the Assembly of Experts.
The second highest authority in Iran according to its constitution is the president of Iran. Universal Suffrage elects the Iranian president for four year. Mahmood Ahmadinejad is the most popular Iranian president who is elected for four years.

Military
Military forces of Iran has two distinct divisions, these are
1- The regular army that is divided into: Islamic Republic of Iran Army, Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force, Islamic Republic of Iran Navy
2- Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps.

Economy of Iran
Iran's economy mainly relies on its oil reserves but it is a mixture of central planning, large enterprises, agriculture, state ownership of oil. Major exports of Iran are oil and rug.

Language
Persian is the national and official language of Iran, several other languages are being spoken in Iran but Persian is the most widely spoken language.

United Nation, NAM, OIC, OPEC.

Iranian culture is an important culture of the Middle East and Central Asia. It is a mix of ancient Iranian traditions, religious festivals, famous literary masterpieces and the embracing of modern arts.
