Islamabad  is  the capital city of Pakistan since 1963. It is located in the Potohar Plateau in the northwest of the country. Islamabad is rather modern and clean city in comparison to other cities in Pakistan. It is well-organized. Islamabad is also home to the Faisal Mosque which is gifted by King Faisal of saudi Arabia.
Islamabad has become more lively with a lot of international food chains opening businesses, andgenerally a great change in night life with increasing shopping areas. However During winter season streets are considerably quiet after dark.
Islamabad remains a city where people come from all over the country to  enjoy its  peaceful, noise-free atmosphere  with a lot of greenery and nice surrounding scenery. 
 The city is divided into eight largely self-contained zones, which has many famous buildings and reputed hotels. The city is the site of Quaid-i-Azam University.Allama Iqbal Open University is also in Islamabad. Like all major cities of  Pakistan there is US embassy is also in Islamabad.
