Islamabad International Airport or Chaklala Airbase located in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. Islamabad is the capital of Pakistan. Islamabad International Airport has the honor of being the third largest airport of Pakistan. After the 2007 elections new government has renamed it and it is now called as Benazir Bhutto International Airport, who was the ex prime minister of Pakistan and killed in an assassination. The current location of the airport is shared with the 'Chaklala Airbase' of Pakistan Airforce. The airport is actually located outside of Islamabad. It is more commonly referred to Chaklala. The location of the new Islamabad International Airport has been selected at Fateh Jang. Construction will be completed of new Islamabad International Airport in 2010.
The Islamabad International Airport hosts many military flights as well as the civilian flights. There are seperate lounges for International and domestic economy passengers.
