Karachi is the capital of the province of Sind and the largest city in Pakistan. Karachi is located on the coast of the Arabian Sea. Old name of Karachi was DEEBAL, it is a metropolitan city and considered as the backbone of Pakistan. Karachi is locally termed as 'the city of lights'. Karachi is also a location of a nuclear power station & many large banks.

"Chai" (Tea) and "Pan" is the symbol of hospitability and both these things are the common habit of people of Karachi.
    Karachi has 8 airports and 5 seaports among them Quaid-e-Azam International Airport is the largest airport of Pakistan and port Qasim is the largest port of Pakistan, which is spread over 40 km area. Karachi has so many historical educational institutes of Pakistan such as Karachi University, NED University of Engineering and Technology, Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Dow University of Medical Sciences, Sindh Medical College, Agha Khan Medical University etc. Popular most shopping centers or markets of Karachi includes Tariq Road, which is the most expensive shopping market of South Asia, Saddar Empress Market, which is the oldest market of Karachi established by Britians, Hyderi market, Gulf market, lalu khet etc.
