Institute of Business Administration

Institute of business administration or IBA is a commerce based university of Karachi city. It is one of the pioneer business schools of Asia. IBA was established in 1955, its dean is Ishrat Hussain. More than five hundred (500) teaching staff is performing its duties at IBA. Recently it has become an independent business university and it is first time that any university lies in the other University. Such as IBA was controlled by Karachi University but recently IBA became an independent university. IBA provides research and scholarship facility to its highlight and brilliant students. In the beginning IBA offered morning classes but later it started providing evening classes for the people who are doing jobs etc. IBA is a degree awarding institute and Karachi University awarded degrees to the IBA graduated students but now IBA has become and independent and it awards its degrees to its students. It is very difficult to get admission at IBA because there is a very tough competition between students to get entry in IBA.

Departments And Organization of IBA

Besides curricular activities there are lots of extra curricular activities in which students have been involved. There are few clubs that are for students. These clubs include: The business administration student club, Executive student forum, MFS club, business and information technology students forum, business administration society of evening students.

There are different societies that are made by the students of IBA. These societies are controlled and run by the students of IBA, these societies include:  Placement Society,

Press and Media Society, Social Events Society, Community Welfare Society, Publications Society, Publications Society, Sports society, Dramatic society, Public speaking society, Social sciences society, English literary society, Urdu literary society, alumni society, seminar society, entrepreneurship society.

Even IBA has very good image in the mind of foreign Pakistani business graduates. IBA is the name of quality education is Asia region. IBA is trend setter and gold standard or business studies in whole asia. IBA has no match in its quality education in business studies.
