Lahore fort
Lahore Fort or Shahi Qila is the memorial of great Mughal's Art, although it was built before the Mughals' rule but the present structure was built by the great Mughals. This memorial Fort is constructed over 20 hectares area in the northwestern part of the Lahore city.

Lahore fort consists of several individual sites inside it such as Sheesh Mehal, Nau lakha pavilion, Alamgiri Gate, and Moti masgjid. In 1981 Lahore Fort became and enlisted as a UNESCO world heritage site.
Construction of Lahore Fort
Lahore fort was several time built and destroyed but finally Mughals built and added several memorial sites in it such in 1631 A.D Mughal Emperor Shajahan constructed Seesh Mehal and in 1633 A.D he constructed Moti Masjid he also constructed Dewan-e-Khas and Hammam after Shahjahan, Aurangzeb constructed Alamgiri Gate in 1674 A.D, when Britain came to rule over Hindustan they handed over the Fort to the Archeology department and they had done several changes in the fort. Lahore fort is constructed and designed over Persian style of archeology, it is mainly divided into two parts or areas, one part is administrative and it was reserved for the royal people whole the other one was restricted for the elite class of Mughals and this area contains Sheesh mehal, elephant gate etc. Badshahi Masjid is linked to the Alamgiri gate through the Hazori Bagh.
