LebanonValleyCollege or The valley or the Lebanon valley is a quality higher education liberal arts institute of Lebanon. It came into being in 1866 on 23rd February. The first batch that passed out from the valley, graduated in 1870. Currently The Valley is working under the affiliation with UnitedMethodistChurch. Previously it was associated with the Church of the United Brethren in Christ. The charter for LebanonValley was proposed and approved in 1867, according to which this college was established for both genders and open for both genders to get education on equal bases. In the beginning there was a difference in men and women educational programs but later on both men and women were regarded as equal to get same education. In the beginning of the valley there was only a single building that was the center of all educational and other curricular activities but after 35 years of its growth some other buildings included in it regarding sports, music and library etc. Fund was contributed to build new buildings in the valley but in the end all the funds finished and debt completed the buildings. In 1911 funds was collected to pay the debt and all the debts cleared.During World War II numbers of enrolled students decreased and this was the time when number of female students was higher than the male students. It was considered that the valley is going to be finished due to the less number of enrolled students but in 1948 things got better and campaigns to save the valley worked good and number of students increased. But still the number of students was not satisfactory, several new buildings such as dining hall, apartment, hostels, etc were built and number of students increased.
