Nairobi Hospital
During 1940s and 50s an urged to construct a hospital rose in the minds of white settlers of Kenya. In the year 1950 The Kenya Hospital Association was came into being that was a government organization. This association purchased the nursing home Maia Carberry. This nursing home was then converted by the association into a men hospital. After that this association constructed the Princess Elizabeth Hospital in the year 1952 that was named after the Princess Elizabeth on his visit to Kenya. After that this hospital was completely dedicated to the women health care. The Kenya European Hospital Association then bought old polo grounds to build another hospital that was then named as The Nairobi Hospital. It was actually officially become functional from 9th April 1954. The inauguration and opening was done by the hands of Ag. Governor Sir Fredrick Crawford, who later appointed as the governor of Uganda.

The facilities at the Nairobi Hospital includes: Four well equipped and furnished wards, that are:
- Maternity and Labor ward
- St. George's ward
- St. David's ward
- St Andrew's ward
X-ray, pharmacy, laboratory, casualty, two operation and surgery theaters are the other basic and main facilities that are instantly available at the Nairobi Hospital.
During the journey of success the Nairobi Hospital upgraded step by step and these successive steps include: development of hospital, increase in the basic facilities such as ICUs, theaters, wards, staff clinic school for staff children.

- First Kidney transplant in the year 1978 was done at the Nairobi Hospital.
- Wise and careful handling of injured from bomb attack at Norfolk hotel.
- Establishment of diagnostic center for Tuberculosis.
Medical achievements
- In the year 1997, first advanced Trauma Life Support course that educated 60 doctors and nurses was conducted at the Nairobi Hospital.
- In the year 1998, two hundred casualties were handled by the Nairobi Hospital after the bomb blast at US Embassy Kenya; these casualties were handled in the 30 minutes right after the bomb blast.
- In the year 2002, first operative laparascopic surgery was done at the Nairobi Hospital successfully.
- In the year 2002, new patient care medical scheme was inaugurated at the Nairobi Hospital.
- The Nairobi Hospital is well equipped with the latest and advanced medical equipment.
