Oslo City Hall

  

The Oslo City Hall is situated in Pipervika in central downtown Oslo. The area was completely renovated and rebuilt to make room for the new City Hall, back in the late 1920's.

The Oslo city hall is basically serving for city administration, art galleries and art studio. It was inaugurated in 1950. It is a very prestigious and popular building in Oslo because it hosts Nobel Peace Prize ceremony, not only that but also it is very popular in Oslo for its artwork and characteristic architecture. City Hall Oslo was designed by the Magnus Poulsson and Arnstein Arnberg. 


Interesting Feature of Oslo City Hall

The interesting feature of City Hall Oslo is a 49-bell carillon that plays at every hour. City Hall Oslo lies in the center downtown of Oslo city. This area was re constructed for the construction of a new room for City Hall.
