Oslo Spektrum

 

Oslo Spektrum is located in the capital city of Norway, it is an indoor ring and it lies in the center of Oslo. It was inaugurated in 1990. Actually it was built to serve the Oslo based ice hockey, for the teams Valerenga and Furuset. It was capable of accommodating 9, 700 spectaculars but that was not enough to accommodate a large number of big event spectaculars. Oslo Spektrum hosts Nobel Peace Prize Concert, Nordic Music Awards, Spellemannprisen and a wide range of performances by so many artists.  Every year Oslo Spektrum hosts a wide range of conferences, trade fairs, sports events and other big events such as Disney on ice shows etc. Oslo Spektrum hosted Eurovision Song Contest in the year 1996. So many great pop stars performed at Oslo Spektrum some names are: Shakira, Cher, Marion Raven, Sophie Ellis Bextor, Oasis, Frank Sinatra, Roxette, Celine Dion, Anastacia, Children of Bodom, In Flames, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Dream Theater, Shania Twain, Sissel, Eminem, Westlife, Elton John, Robbie Williams, Guns N' Roses, Paul McCartney, Tina Turner, Ozzy Osbourne, Slayer, Bob Dylan, Britney Spears, Kylie Minogue etc. Most interestingly the popular musical girls' band Spice Girls first time appeared in musical concert at Oslo Spektrum.
