Humane Ottawa Society

The foundation of this society was laid by the women of Ottawa to protect the animal rights in the year 1888. This society is a charitable non profit organization that is working in Ottawa. This organization also works for neglected children. It is a non-profit organization. It is basically a community based and a registered charitable organization.

Changes in Name

In the year 1979, the name of this organization was changed to Humane Society of Ottawa-Carleton from Humane Ottawa Society. Later in the year 2001, this organization re-gained the original name.
