Ottawa Senators
The Ottawa Senators are a professional men's hockey team based in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The Ottawa Senators are the current Eastern Conference champions, holders of the Prince of Wales Trophy, and runner-up in the 2007 Stanley Cup Finals. It was founded in 1991. Ottawa ice hockey clubs date back to the first decade of recorded organized ice hockey play.
Ottawa Hockey Club
The Ottawa Hockey Club is known to have played in a Canadian championship in 1884. The team colors are red, black and white, (Ottawa's traditional sporting colours), like the original era, with added trim of gold. The new primary logo for the new jerseys is an update of the old secondary logo, which according to team owner Eugene Melnyk, represents strength and determination. Spartacat is an anthropomorphic lion and the official mascot of the Senators. The fans of the Senators are known as the Sens Army. A fixture on the concourse before regular season and playoff games is the official-unofficial pipe band of the Ottawa Senators, The Sons of Scotland.
