The British Council is one of the United Kingdom's cultural relations organizations. It specializes in educational opportunities. British Council is a non-departmental public body and registered as a charity in England. British Council was founded in 1934. Its 'sponsoring department' is the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.

Objective of British Council

The British Council  connects people worldwide with learning opportunities and creative ideas from the UK and builds lasting relationships between the UK and other countries. British Council's international organization for educational and cultural relations and are represented in 110 countries worldwide. They are a major channel for the UK's public democracy in Pakistan. They putting Pakistani people in touch with the people in UK.  They work for the benefit of the individual and for the mutual benefit of Britain and Pakistan. They have been working in Pakistan since 1948, starting from a small office in Karachi. They now offer  services in 7 cities of Pakistan and employ more than 200 staff members.
