Pakistan Flag

  

The national flag of Pakistan was adopted on August 11 1947, three days before independence of Pakistan. The flag is commonly known as Sabz Hilali Percham.

 

In Urdu language Pakistani Flag is called, as "Sabaz-Hilali Perchum" The designer of Pakistani Flag was Syed Amir-ud-din Kedvai, the flag was designed after the flag of Muslim league. It has two colors in it, the green color that represents the majority of country while the white color represents the minority of Pakistan. Majority means the population of Muslims in Pakistan while minority means the other non Muslim population of Pakistan. The flag of Pakistan has a crescent in the center with the pentagon star sign. The star and crescent are of white color. Pakistani flag is hoisted on all the official buildings of Pakistan such as it is hoisted on Parliament house, Supreme court and other important buildings of Pakistan.
