The Constitution of Pakistan provides for a Federal Parliamentary System of government, with a President as the Head of State and an indirectly-elected Prime Minister as the chief executive. The Prime Minister of Pakistan is usually the leader of the largest party.

 

Pakistan Government:

 

 In Pakistan type of Government is Federal republic because Pakistan is a Democrat country. Capital of Pakistan is Islamabad. Province in Pakistan has their individual administrative offices, which are connected to the central government of Islamabad.

Constitution of Pakistan implemented and constructed in 1973, it was suspended in

1977 restored with amendments in 1985 and then again suspended in 1999 by another dictatorship and then restored again with some amendments.

2008 Elections:

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) won highest seats in National assembly. Makhdoom Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani elected prime minister of Pakistan. Prime minister elects cabinet.

President of Pakistan: Asif Ali Zardai.

Judicial branch consists of Supreme Court, judicial chiefs are appointed by the president; Federal Islamic (Shari'a) Court.
