Sahiwal  is the city of Province Punjab, it is situated in the South Eastren part of Punjab. Sahiwal is the capital of District Sahiwal. It was a little village a century ago it was named on the name of Sir Robert Montgomery. Later on it was renamed as Sahiwal in 1966. Habitants of Sahiwal are called as Sahiwalians.

Sahiwal has extreme weather as it reaches up to 50 °C during summer season while it falls below -5°Cin winter season. Sahiwal is a place fertile land, Sahiwal has converted into a division that is controlling District Okara and District Pakpatan.

Sahiwal is an industrially important city of pakistan as it is popular for the textile spinning, textile weaving, leather products, cotton grinding and pressing, flour mills, pharmaceuticals, garments, food industry, oil mills, cold storages, potato, tobacco, biscuit plants, chip board, confectionary, vegetable, ghee, cooking oil, wollen textile etc. Sahiwal is also famous for its cattle breeding and farming. There are so many educational institutes that are providing quality education, these are: Government High School, Government High School Urban Area, Comprehensive High School, Government High School 86/6.R and Government Pilot Higher Secondary School are the leading high schools of the city. Junior Model High School, Divisional Public School (DPS) and St. Mary's Convent School, .
