Warsaw Convention

  

The Warsaw Convention is a 1929 agreement that limits the liability of airlines in the event of \"accidents\" on international flights. In 1966, the top limit was increase to $75,000.

 

The Warsaw Convention

It is an international convention which manages liability for international carriage of persons, goods or baggage carried out by aircraft for reward. This convention was originally signed in the year 1929 in Warsaw. Aviation Law experts from 31 countries in the world gathered in Warsaw to set forth a new law that is still active in the international aviation industry. The main purpose of the Warsaw Convention was to identify air carriers' liability in the unexpected events like accident that happens to both passengers and baggage along with cargo.
